The San Francisco Del Monte Methodist Church in Rizal (Del Monte was then under Rizal province) was started. The community congregated regularly in the house of Pastor Bonifacio Bautista.

March 28, 1938, the San Francisco Del Monte Methodist Church was officially recognized as a duly organized church of the Methodist Church in the Philippines with 55 regular members.
Because of the war, the chapel envisioned by the congregation to put, did not materialize.

1952
The San Francisco Del Monte Methodist Chapel was put upon a parcel of land donated by Atty. & Mrs. Nicolas De Guzman at its present location at Guevarra Street. The chapel was a Quonset hut of the US Army type (used by the Bethel Girls High School) donated by the Knox Methodist Church through the facilitation of Rev. John Holt and Dr. Charles Mosebrook. Bishop Jose L. Valencia was instrumental in encouraging Central Church and Knox Memorial Church to establish Del Monte United Methodist church as a regular Methodist Church with an intention to use it as a preaching station for student pastors.
A series student pastors were assigned to serve the church and Pastor Benjamin T. Reyes was the first full-time pastor assigned.

1972
A new church was built through the facilitation of Rev. Nathaniel De Pano, who was then the assigned Pastor of the church. Cr. Josias Guinto, a layman of Highway Hills Methodist Church, joined him in the Venture. Rev. De Pano died in 1975, thus leaving the entire project to Dr. Guinto, the lay pastor of Del Monte UMC then.
The congregation led by its leaders: Nomer Bote, Carlos Manacop, Celestino Ravelo, Erling Refareal, Sid Manalac, Tony Ravelo, Jose Manacop and the WSCS and the young people
group, the present church was constructed with the architectural design of David Nabong.
The parsonage was originally the district parsonage, while the church was under construction, the garage of the parsonage was temporarily used as the church. After a
period of six months, the new church building came to a reality.

1983-86
A new multi-purpose building was built to accommodate its kindergarten class (which lasted for three years) and other church activities. Kindergarten teachers were: Loreta Vicarme, Purificacion Vidaya, Portia Palma, Ging Letana, Lita Camaso.

1998
A new multi-purpose building was started. And as years passed, a number of improvements were accomplished such as having a ground floor air-conditioned and
making it available for church gatherings, Bible studies, meetings, special occasions and Sunday school classes for the youth and children.

2000
It was during a thanksgiving Sunday in November 2000 that the Masaganang Pamumuhay was launched through the initiative of Pastor Manuel and the WSCS.
In less than a year after, a Church vehicle was acquired through the profits gained by the Masaganang Pamumuhay which covered half of the vehicle’s cost and the remaining half were shouldered by the members of the church through pledges and donations. The vehicle served its purpose especially during regular attendance of church members in the
Aldersgate meetings, outreach activities such as in Masambong.

Outreach ministry in Masambong, a near-by community, was started and still on-going up to the present.

2005
Improvement of the Multipurpose hall was made to accommodate the growing number of children attending the Sunday School. At present, there are 3 Sunday school classes for the children and one for the adults.
The present site of the church which was its own disadvantage some years ago, is now beginning to yield its own dividends. It is now strategically located within the commercial district of West Avenue and Del Monte Avenue and is accessible from all points. Most of its
members are parishioners and permanent resident of the community and there is that great hope that Del Monte United Methodist Church will continue to grow by natural accretion and evangelization outreach.
