This year’s anniversary activities included reaching out to the community’s needs through the Medical/Dental Services. This year, aside from free medical check-ups (through the generosity of Dr. Cristin Capuli-Calaca and friends) and medicine distribution (by Pascual Laboratories), there was an FBS-Fasting Blood Sugar, a laboratory test conducted by Sonofi-Winthrop through the kindness of Dr. Capuli. Also, there were free dental services that covered check-ups, cleaning (equipments by St. Patrick’s Med. Systems) and tooth extractions through Dr. Yvette Loreto and invited dental clinicians.

Aside from community service, an evangelistic night was also held headed by our very own Pastor Nong Bautista and Deaconess Maritess Dagismol. The evangelistic night was held at the Piga Compound (presently the church’s mission point) with Rev. Julbert M. De Leon as invited evangelist. Another highlight of the anniversary was the church beautification through a mural project headed by Mr. Jojo Cabacungan Elmeda and our very own artistically inclined members. A family day was also held to strengthen the fellowship of our congregation. On the anniversary Sunday of the church, we are blessed to celebrate the special occasion together with our special guest speaker, Mrs. Elnora Bailen-Avarientos, Director of World Vision- Philippines. The church prayed for this month-long celebration together with our partner, “Hardin ng Panalangin” a radio program in 702 DZAS.

The Del Monte United Methodist Church is truly blessed and we give back all the praises, honor and glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ!
